In order to supply the Côte-Nord region with natural gas, Énergir wanted to extend its pipeline network approximately 470 km from the city of Saguenay to Sept-Îles. A portion of the planned gas pipeline passed through agricultural land and was subject to an authorization from Quebec’s agricultural land protection commission (CPTAQ). SNC-Lavalin, chief coordinator of the project, teamed up with Activa Environnement to cover the entire agricultural component of the project, notably the authorization application submitted to CPTAQ.
