Activa Environnement is pleased to announce the arrival of Ms. Fariel Benameur to the team working out of the company’s Montréal office. With a master’s degree in environmental science from Université de Sherbrooke and a degree in civil engineering and urban planning from the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon, Ms. Benameur boasts over 20 years of experience in the environmental sphere. During this period, she has held various key positions with mining and metallurgy giant Rio Tinto as well as cement mills in New York State.

Ms. Benameur has extensive expertise in environmental management. She has played a decisive role in ensuring environmental compliance for industrial complexes, in addition to participating in the environmental assessment process for mining projects across Canada. Additionally, over the years she has honed her skills in managing environmental risks for various projects as well as in obtaining authorizations and permits.

As Project Director for the Industry and Commerce division (western Quebec), Ms. Benameur will oversee all operations in this sector. She will notably be tasked with continuing to reinforce the company’s presence at the provincial level as well as providing support to the entire team.
