Activa Environnement has been selected under a public call for tenders launched by Quebec’s Ministry of Transport (MTQ) to conduct wildlife monitoring at various rainwater catchment basins created along the Highway 85 corridor in the province’s Bas-Saint-Laurent region.

Wildlife monitoring has been carried out by the Ministry since 2016 in order to document the evolution of biodiversity at the various catchment basins created along Highway 85 between Témiscouata-sur-le-Lac (formerly Cabano) and the New Brunswick border.

The mandate consists of carrying out flora and fauna (aquatic and terrestrial) surveys and monitoring, analyses as well as research and documentation of environmental issues pertaining to the highway project and rainwater catchment basins.
